Salvation means to have eternal life and to
escape the punishment for sin.
If we are saved, we will have freedom from a
guilty conscience and we will dwell together with God for all eternity when we
die or when Christ comes back, whatever comes first.
It is not possible to be saved without being
Born Again (Regenerated).
Once we have been 'Saved' or 'Regenerated', God continues to work in our lives to make us
Holy (Transforming us / Sanctifying us)
We are like a House with Many Rooms
The most important room is
our Heart
This is where we put our
idol / God
When God comes and makes his home in our heart,
we are Born Again (Regenerated) and Gods work of Sanctification / Transformation
has begun
If we open the Front Door and welcome
Jesus into our House (our Heart) then we are saved; we are Born Again.
Jesus wants to come in and
fill our
heart.
He wants to make his home
in us.
The other rooms in the
House are like our Soul.
Jesus will eventually want to see every room in
the House.
Once we are Born Again,
God comes and fills in our heart and our Spirit is Regenerated. This is
Baptism in the Spirit.
But just as Light can have no fellowship with
darkness, The Holy Spirit cannot co-inhabit with demons or evil spirits.
God still needs to correct
all the false beliefs and incorrect mindsets that are in the other rooms of our
house.
These false beliefs need
to be replaced with the knowledge of God.
If Jesus can change or
over write our core beliefs
he will transform our
character and
our coping mechanisms and
personality will change.
If Jesus is your first love, the most important
thing in your life, your treasure, your savior, your Lord, You will eventually let him clean out every
room in your heart.
Jesus cleans us out bit by
bit whenever we are filled with the Spirit. This happens when we praise
and worship God.
We need to keep turning to
God in Worship, otherwise our incorrect thinking will cause a bad spirit to
return.
So long as Jesus is in
your heart, you are
Saved, Regenerated and Justified (that is made right in God's sight).
Sometimes there are things in our lives which
hurt us and keep us bound but we are too scarred to let Jesus sort them out.
Sometimes there are things in our heart that
are bad, but we keep them hidden from Jesus in the Bedroom of our heart, or
maybe in the Study or the Kitchen or the Games Room.
God is very patient with us, but if we do not
deal with some of the Bad things that are in us, we will make bad choices which
will stop us reaching our potential.
Sometimes, a situation will force us to choose
between God and something that we love that's been hidden away in one of the
Dark Rooms of our heart.
If God is your first love,
you will let him clean your house.
Sometimes we grieve the Holy Spirit by not
letting him into a room in our heart.
When we grieve God, our conscience gives us a
hard time.
We loose our peace, the joy of our salvation.
If your conscience is bothering you, then pay
attention.
Work out what God is trying to tell you.
Be obedient to that still small voice that is
living inside you.
Jesus will never leave you but it is possible
for you to throw him out of your house.
The consequences of this is would be
catastrophic.
Doubting is not a sin so long as we continue to
listen to and obey what God tells us in his Word.
But if we deny Christ and go back to a life of
sin, then it may not be possible to get right with God again.
Maybe Christ had never made his home in your
heart.
If you are able to genuinely repent and turn to
God and Love him with all of your heart, then Christ will come into your heart
and fill you with his love and give you peace and joy as well as the other Fruit
and the Gifts of the Spirit. He will wash you clean and you will be able
to see what he has planned for your life. He will transform your life and
help you fulfill your God given potential.
You will make the right decisions and as a
consequence, your life will be Blessed.
But above all, you will be SAVED.
