HAVE INWARD AND OUTWARD ASPECTS
The Circumcision in the Old Testament is like Baptism in the New Testament
Circumcision is a sign of the Old Covenant and Baptism is a sign of the New Covenant
Both Circumcision and Baptism have inward and outward aspects
The inward aspect is more important than the outward
Having the outward without the inward is hypocrisy
Having the inward without the outward is of no effect
The outward confession of faith is a testimony, a symbol and an act of obedience
Baptism for the Christian
is like circumcision for the Jew
