God's Grace
Christ's death on the cross to pay for our sin exemplifies God's Grace towards us. He is the cornerstone and the foundation upon which our faith is based.
This is a mosque called 'The Dome of the Rock' standing on the Temple Mount where the inner sanctuary of the original temple use to stand. The rebuilt original Temple was destroyed in 70 AD by the Romans. The Dome of the Rock was ordered to be built by the Caliph Omar during the first Islamic period of Jerusalem and completed in 691 AD. Inside the Dome of the Rock is the foundation stone. It is believed to be the same stone that Abraham would have sacrificed his son Isaac on if God had not sent a ram to die in his place. It is a reminder of God's Grace and Mercy, even in the time of Abraham.
