Who is God and What is he like?
There is only one God, yet there are three persons in the Godhead: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
So God created man with three parts too; a body, a soul and a spirit.
God also has three aspects to his person, yet there is only one God. He is Triune (or three in one) hence the doctrine of the Trinity.
The Father lives in Heaven. He has the heart and the mind of God. He is all knowing, all powerful and all present. He is Light and Life. He is Holy and Righteous. He is Loving and Merciful.
Jesus was the embodiment of God on this Earth, but he is also the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the great I am, the was, and is to come.
In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The word became flesh and dwelt among us.
He was the only begotten son of God.
His name is Emmanuel which means God with us.
He is the image of the invisible God. The first born over all creation.
The fullness of the Godhead dwelt in him.
He was one with the father. The father was in him and he was in the father.
He existed before the foundation of the world and the world was made through him and for him. He is before all things and in him all things hold together.
He is the Lamb of God, the Ransom for our sins. Only he was worthy to die for us.
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.
His name is the only name on Heaven and Earth by which we can be saved.
The Spirit of God was present at the beginning and is mention in the second verse of the Bible. The Spirit of God is mentioned throughout the New and the Old Testament. The Spirit of God is also there at the end and is mentioned in the last chapter of the Bible. The Spirit of God is a person. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit and the Bride say "come"
The Bride is the Church (God's wife to be and our spiritual mother) the Jerusalem that is above. Each Church is a manifestation of the Spirit of God. In Revelation, there were seven churches, and hence there were seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Christ is the Head of the Church.
