The Great Tribulation

Part 1 of 2

The Great Tribulation will be a time of great suffering; the worst ever known to mankind.  The Church will be redeemed from the Earth before God's wrath is poured out at the end of the Great Tribulation.  Some of God's people who are 'mature' and 'ready' will be redeemed before the Great Tribulation starts.  They will be the first fruits of the harvest.  The majority of God's people will have to endure the Great Tribulation.  They will be redeemed after 1260 days and then God will pour out his wrath.  Those who remain on Earth will suffer God's wrath.  Those that survive until the end of the 1335 days will continue to live on Earth for 1000 years and are destined to become the Nations in the New Heaven and Earth.

The Great Tribulation lasts 1260 days after which the Saints (the Great multitude) are called up to be meet the Lord for a long awaited celebration.  The wedding will last a month (1290-1260 days) and the battle of Armageddon 45 days (1335-1290 days).

The great tribulation will last 1260 days (42 months) which is three and a half years (or times, time and time and a half).  One week of Daniel is corresponds to seven years of history.  The  Great Tribulation starts half way through the last week of Daniel.  Christ returns at the end of the last week of Daniel.  This Marks the beginning of his millennial reign.

THE GREAT TRIBULATION WILL LAST FOR TIMES TIME AND TIME AND A HALF

Dan 7:25

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LAST SEVEN (YEARS), THE ANTICHRIST PUTS AN END TO SACRIFICE

Daniel 9:22-27

History tells us that the decree to rebuild Jerusalem was in 450 BC.  There was 483 years between this decree and the crucifixion of Christ in AD 33?  (483 divided by 69 is 7 !!  therefore one seven is seven years!!)

HALF OF SEVEN IS THREE AND A HALF

THREE AND A HALF YEARS = 42 MONTHS = 1260 DAYS = TIMES TIME AND TIME AND A HALF

THE END OF THE LAST WEEK IS THE END OF THIS AGE

This verses says that after the 7 + 62 sevens, the anointed one would be cut off.  The end would come like a flood and war would continue to the end. He will confirm a covenant with one seven. This does not imply that the last seven follows directly after the previous sevens.

The  Great Tribulation starts half way through the last week of Daniel.  Christ returns at the end of the last week of Daniel.

Matthew 24:15 tells us that when we see the abomination that causes desolation appear, we know that the end is near.

2Thessalonians 2:8 tells us that the Lord will overthrow and destroy the man of lawlessness by the breath of his mouth and the splendor of his coming.  This can leave us with no doubt that Christ's return is at the end of the great tribulation which is the beginning of his millennial reign.  People who teach post millennialism are thus in error. We, the believers, are not in heaven and the devil is not locked up in the abyss where he can no longer cause trouble. Thus the millennium cannot have started.  The Bible therefore foretells of the premillennial return of Jesus Christ.  The return of Christ and the Millennium are, no doubt, in the future (at the time of writing of this document!).

2Peter 3:8 says that a thousand years are like a day to the Lord.  The old testament has many types and patterns that are seen in the New Testament. God created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th.  We are now 6000 years approximately since Adam.  It may be that Christ will reign in the Seventh millennium, after all, the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath (Matt 12:8 Mark 2:28 Luke 6:5)

IT IS NOT GOING TO BE PLEASANT IN THE END TIMES

Daniel 12:1-13

THE HARVEST IS AT THE END OF THE AGE

Matt 13:37-43  Revelations 14:14-20

HOW TO RECOGNISE CHRIST WHEN HE COMES

Matthew 24:1-51

SOME OF US WILL BE ALIVE WHEN CHRIST RETURNS AT THE END OF THIS AGE

1Cor 15:51-52

THOSE THAT ARE ALIVE WILL NOT PRECEDE THOSE THAT HAVE DIED

1Thes 4:13-18

We that are alive will not precede those that have died in Christ.  We will be called up to be with them in the clouds and we will remain with Christ for ever.

This verse tells us that we will all reign with Christ when he redeems us from the earth at his second coming (if we do not fall away).

1Thes 5:10
