REDEMPTION

 

 

GOD REDEEMS HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR OPPRESSORS

Exo 15:13  "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling.

Deu 7:8  But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Deu 9:26  I prayed to the LORD and said, "O Sovereign LORD, do not destroy your people, your own inheritance that you redeemed by your great power and brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

Deu 13:5  That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he preached rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery; he has tried to turn you from the way the LORD your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.

Deu 21:8   Accept this atonement for your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, O LORD, and do not hold your people guilty of the blood of an innocent man." And the bloodshed will be atoned for.

Deu 24:18  Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you from there. That is why I command you to do this.

2 Sam 7:23 And who is like your people Israel--the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, and to make a name for himself, and to perform great and awesome wonders by driving out nations and their gods from before your people, whom you redeemed from Egypt?

Neh 1:10  "They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand.

Job 33:28  He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit, and I will live to enjoy the light.'

Psa 71:23   My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you-- I, whom you have redeemed.

Psa 74:2  Remember the people you purchased of old, the tribe of your inheritance, whom you redeemed-- Mount Zion, where you dwelt.

Psa 77:15  With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

Psa 78:42  They did not remember his power-- the day he redeemed them from the oppressor,

Psa 107:2  Let the redeemed of the LORD say this-- those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,

Isa 43:1  But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

Isa 52:3   For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed."

Isa 52:9 Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.

Isa 62:12  They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.

Isa 63:9  In all their distress he too was distressed, and the angel of his presence saved them. In his love and mercy he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

Lam 3:58  O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.

GOD HAS REDEEMED US FROM THE DEVIL - THAT WE MAY NOT SUFFER CONDEMNATION FOR OUR SIN

Luke 1:68  "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people.

Luke 2:38  Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Luke 21:28  When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

Rom 3:24  and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:23  Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.

1 Cor 1:30  It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Gal 3:13   Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

Gal 3:14  He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

Eph 1:7  In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace

Eph 1:14  who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.

Eph 4:30  And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Col 1:14  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Heb 9:12  He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.

1 Pet 1:18  For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers,
