- Are the events in Revelation really going to happen?

- Revelation is a collection of prophesies about what must soon take
place.
- It contains many warnings and promises to guide and encourage us.
- The prophesies were given to John in a series of visions which have lots
of imagery and symbolism.
- It is largely concerned with the future.
- It deals with the second coming of Christ, His glorious reward for those
who remain faithful, His awesome triumph over evil and Judgment upon the
unrighteous.

- It reassures us that God will eventually triumph over evil
- It reassures us that God is in control
- It gives us hope when we are going through difficult times
- It prepares us for what is to come
- It puts things in perspective
- It helps us understand God’s eternal purpose and plan

- God does not want to Reveal everything to us now
- Some things must be kept hidden until the End Times and some things will
not be revealed until we are in Heaven
- God wants us to know in general, what is ahead but he doesn’t want to
give names, places and dates just yet

- Romans 16:25 Now to him who is
able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ,
according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,
- Ephesians 3:9 and to make plain
to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was
kept hidden in God, who created all things.
- Colossians 1:26 the mystery that
has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to
the saints.

- I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My lord, what will
the outcome of all this be?"
- He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up
and sealed until the time of the end.
